Selinda Explorer’s Camp is set on the banks of the Selinda Spillway, in the 230,000 acre Selinda Reserve.

The unobtrusive camp blends into the environment and is ideal for those wanting to be close to nature - here you will experience the luxury of simplicity and the thrill of authenticity.

Five expedition-style canvas tents, including a two-bedroom family tent, are reminiscent of the

pioneering times - the campaign furniture, vintage touches and lantern lighting creating a memorable ambiance.

Dine in the open-sided main tent or under African skies. Selinda, linked to the Okavango Delta and the Linyanti via the spillway, is a haven supporting elephant, buffalo, lion and wild dog, as well as sable and roan antelope, in addition to numerous other species and birds.

May through to November are the peak game viewing months and buffalo, hippos, lions, waterbuck, impala and antelope all call this reserve home, making it ideal to capture those special moments on film.

Safari by 4x4 and lunch amongst your natural surroundings, enjoy a glass of champagne under the orange skies at dusk, or even sleep in a canoe based safari tent, and make memories that will be etched into your mind forever.

If you don't want scorching temperatures, and would prefer a getaway with no rain, the best months to visit Selinda Reserve are the months of May through to September. Daily temperatures average of around 16 degrees centigrade in these months, however it can get rather cold in the mornings and evenings.

If you'd prefer to bask the heat and don't mind a moderate amount of rainfall, October to March produce the hottest daytime temperatures, although you will probably encounter a thunderstorm and some rain, although these don't last particularly long and can add to the authenticity and experience of your visit.
