Anguilla

Located just a speedboat ride away from St Maarten, Anguilla is the quiet, sophisticated icing-sugar beached jewel of the Caribbean – perfect for those craving holiday indolence.

Much like other Caribbean islands, Anguilla offers world-class hotels, delectable private villas and authentic local bars but the charm lies with its pioneering food scene and home-grown reggae beats. Flip flops are the only fashion accessory you need here – this island is where people go to be ‘unseen’ – invisibility sets the tone here, rather than fashion and cash in the glitzy neighbouring islands.

Deliciously laid-back and instinctively unhurried, this skinny, flat island in the Lesser Antilles is one of the few places in the world where time feels in good supply. There are only six traffic lights on the whole of the island – echoing the islanders (and by association those who stay there) pure consideration and lack of need for speed.

Anguilla is the island for those literally looking for a fly and flop, foot in sand, foodie getaway. Where the toughest decision is which beach to breeze around on – from the perfect curve of Maunday’s Bay, the remote Captain’s Bay or if cooling off in the glorious Caribbean Sea is more your thing then head along to Rendezvous Bay for this two-mile-long swimming stretch.

We challenge you not to return refreshed, reset and dreaming of going back…

Anguilla is relatively dry for Caribbean standards, the typical weather is humid, tropical. The region experiences very little seasonal variation, as climates stay comparatively similar throughout the entire year. This is usually due to the moderated winds that are present from all locations on the small island and develop a warm north east trade during the winter and a soothing cool sea breeze throughout the summertime.
