The West Country

The West Country covers various counties in the South-West of England, which usually include Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and Somerset, plus Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and The Isles of Scilly. Leafy narrow country roads lead through miles of scrumpy cider apple orchards and buttercup meadows, plus secluded beaches and rolling green countryside.

With lots to see and do in the region visitors have plenty of choice of where to go, there are a number of tourist attractions from historic buildings to miles of unspoilt coastline, world heritage sites and characterful towns and pictueresque villages, not to mention clotted cream teas.

A few highlights include Stonehenge, The Forest of Dean, Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, Land's End, Lundy, the White Horses of Wiltshire, the Jurassic Coast and the Isles of Scilly.
