Nairobi
Nairobi is the beating heart of Kenya. This cosmopolitan and energetic city is juxtaposed next to the tranquility of its rural surroundings. With a vibrant nightlife and plenty of cultural sites, such as the Karen Blixen museum, Nairobi remains true to its roots, yet is unrestrained by them, as it seeks to push forward into the 21st century with the same ambition and pace that proved so successful in the 20th.
Besides its urban attractions, Nairobi is the perfect base from which to explore Kenya. Within reach are the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the AFEW Giraffe Centre as well as the Nairobi National Park, meaning that the city is able to fuse culture and nature.
