Jaci's Safari Lodge, in the North West Province's Madikwe Private Game Reserve offers an authentic safari experience, warm hospitality and superb game viewing. Constructed with thatch, stone and canvas and decorated using copper and funky colours, the stylish lodge boasts a natural bush ambience from its position on the edge of the Marico River. Jaci's Safari Lodge has a variety of beautifully appointed and luxurious rooms and suites, including 6 tented rooms, 2 Starbed Suites and the Nare and Safari Private Suites.
6 'safari-tent-style' rooms feature large handcrafted-mosaic baths, outdoor showers and raised private viewing decks. Two of the rooms can accommodate children.
Highly romantic, boldly appealing and private, the 2 Starbed Suites are ideal for honeymooners. With bursts of colour and custom-made finishes these have an indoor bedroom as well as a rooftop extension - allowing guests the option of sleeping under the stars.
The Starbed Suites have outdoor showers, indoor bathrooms, a lounge, safari bar and viewing deck.
Finally, the 2 independent and exlcusive family suites (Nare Suite and Safari Suite) accommodate 6-8 guests respectively, and have their own plunge pools and dedicated staff.

Region
Situated close to the Kalahari Desert, just on the Botswana border lays Madikwe game reserve- a reserve a little bit different to other parks and reservation areas in South Africa.
Established in 1991 after the African government decided the soil was too poor for farming and the disadvantaged area needed an economic uplift, 10,000 mammals were relocated from other National Parks, and this was the birth of Madikwe Game Reserve.
Although one of the lesser known conservations in South Africa, Madikew is beautifully unspoilt and a lot less busy than the larger parks meaning a more authentic and real experience. It’s now home to 120 different mammal species including some rare and endangered such as the Black Rhino and African Wild Dog. It is a malaria free area ensuring that extra peace of mind when on your safari experience.
Today the reserve is regarded as a prime example of how relationships amongst communities and government can enhance conservation success.
