Denis Private Island is a stunningly beautiful privately owned island, located just a 30 minute light aircraft flight away from Mahé.

The turquoise lagoon is sheltered by surrounding reefs and offers great conditions for canoeing and snorkelling with minimal currents. Explore some of the world's most breath-taking coral reefs and beaches.

There are 25 free standing air-conditioned cottages and villas, including 3 Beach Cottages, 10 Deluxe Beach Cottages, 10 Beachfront Spa Cottages, 1 Family Cottage and 1 Beach Villa. Each cottage features a sitting area, garden courtyard, plus an open-air bathroom.

The cuisine on the island is very much a farm-to-table concept, including fruit and vegetables grown on the island, plus dairy, poultry and pork products reared here. Children can get involved in collecting the farm-fresh eggs.

The island provides a variety of activities on land including bike riding, tennis, billiards, an island tour to see the giant tortoises, bird watching, looking for and spotting sea turtles at certain times of year. The library offers a selection of indoor games, magazines and books, plus the only television on the island plus internet access. The spa and wellness centre offers a variety of treatments, with most of the spa products being crafted from local ingredients on the island.

Water activities include big game fishing, with it being one of the top sailfish destinations in the world, bottom fishing and hand-line fishing. There is a Padi affiliated Dive Centre, nine coral dive sites and pristine reefs which offer divers the opportunity to spot turtles, rays, white-tip sharks, and tropical reef fish.

Denis Private Island is a conservationists paradise, an exceptional family friendly destination, as well as the perfect romantic getaway.

The Seychelles are a set of 115 islands located in the Indian Ocean and considered one of the most luxurious travel destinations in the world.  They are an enchanting place where stunning powder white beaches meet blue, transparent waters. It is easy to see why this is one of the most popular tourist spots on the planet.

The islands of The Seychelles are scattered across the middle of the Indian Ocean. 43 of them are made up of granite and form the centre of The Seychelles cultural, economic and tourism industries. The remaining 72 islands comprise low-lying atolls, with flawless miniature marine worlds that make scuba diving sheer heaven.

The Seychelles is also home to rare animals such as the giant Aldabra tortoises, nature reserves and coral reefs. It is a living museum of natural history and is also a sanctuary for some of the rarest species of flora & fauna with almost half of its limited landmass set aside as reserves and national parks. From kayaking to swimming with dolphins, there is plenty to do and see in this tropical paradise.

Seychelles is also home to two U.N.E.S.C.O World Heritage Sites, Praslin’s Vallée de Mai, once believed to be the original site of the Garden of Eden and Aldabra, the world’s biggest raised coral atoll.

Situated just south of the equator, the Seychelles has a typically tropical climate, meaning daily temperatures rarely drop below the mid-twenties. The region, overall, is quite humid but this is often off set by gentle sea breezes.

From May to October the Southeast Monsoon brings a relatively dry period that peaks in July and August where there is minimal precipitation. By November, the winds change, bringing light, warmer winds and the start of the main rainy season.

Post November, the Seychelles gets extremely wet, especially in December and January, though the vegetation is green, the winds generally light and the sun at its warmest. However, this is also the cyclone season and some of the southern-most islands can be affected.

The cyclone season is followed by the calmest, warmest month, April, as the winds die down and start to change direction in preparation for the Southeast Monsoon.
