The Charco Hotel is a charming property converted from fisherman's houses dating back to the 17th century.

Lovingly restored with exquisite taste, the interiors have been taken back to their original brickwork combined with white washed walls and blonde wood.

The Charco is located in the UNESCO World Heritage quarter of historic Colonia right beside the River Plate with views over to Buenos Aires.

There are 6 rooms and suites in the main hotel which is also where the bistro and bar are located. Furnishings and furniture are immaculate with contemporary styling but in keeping with the

traditional and historic culture of the buildings and in line with UNESCO rules.

El Rancho is a self contained cosy cottage adjacent to the hotel, ideal for familes or friends travelling together. The house has two bedrooms, a spacious lounge, patio and shared bathroom.

Colonia is a wonderful town to relax in the sunshine and enjoy a coffee, beer or a glass of wine on the cobbled plazas or on the gorgeous Charco terrace bar beside the river.
