Today you will enjoy a tour of St Emilion's most famous Chateau. The tour will start with a visit to Chateau Cheval Blanc followed by a wine tasting accompanied by the Managing Director Pierre Lurton, to discover a wine made principally of Cabernet Franc.
At lunch time, you will reach Chateau La Dominique (70 acres), where you will enjoy a tour of the estate followed by lunch with a carefully selected menu and matching wines. A short way north of St. Emilion, this Grand Cru Classé, whilst not as well-known as its illustrious neighbour, Chateau Cheval Blanc, has a spectacular restaurant - La Terrasse Rouge - a great al fresco location for a lunch with views over this wine country.
The tour will proceed with a visit to Chateau Figeac, Premier Grand Cru Classé "B", hosted by the celebrated Director and winemaker Frederic Faye. A St Emilion landmark and one of the most beautiful, it is the largest estate in St Emilion with 100 plus acres.
Our tour will end in Chateau Angelus, Premier Grand Cru Classé "A", where you will enjoy a private tasting and a visit to the Chai during the harvest activities.
Dinner will be at leisure to discuss about the gem discovered during our first day and to experience one of the local restaurants.
