Northern Thailand

Northern Thailand is perfectly placed to offer explorers both a cultural and natural adventure. The hilly landscape is amongst some of the most spectacular that Asia has to offer and the area is culturally fascinating for those seeking an anthropological expedition into Thailand.

Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai are the North’s two major cities and both offer laid back city breaks, full of temples and museums, surrounded by stunning scenery. The regions, in which these cities are situated, are some of the country’s most impressive. With lush lowlands, magnificent mountains and strong ethnic diversity, the North is as varied as it is inspiring.

The combination of the region's natural wonders and amazing cultural sites mean that whilst perhaps not as often frequented as the South, a trip to Northern Thailand should certainly not be overlooked.
