Kerala

For many, Kerala is South India's most serenely beautiful state, and with an incredible 600 kms of pristine Arabian Sea shoreline, one can see why. This slender coastal strip is shaped by its layered landscape: beautiful palm-lined beaches, a languid network of glistening backwaters and inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as a multitude of wildlife.

Explore Kerala via elegant houseboats on winding canals, where vibrant traditions such as Kathakali plays, temple festivals and snake-boat races frequently bring even the smallest villages to life. Up in the hills, enjoy magnificent views, gentle treks and wonderful birdlife. Explore Fort Cochin; a historic, multicultural city where the buzzing atmosphere and taste-bud-tingling cuisine is sure to excite all five senses.

Kerala is a world away from the frantic side of India and the perfect place to get some well-deserved relaxation.
