This stunning oasis of tranquillity is set across three properties on a perfect hilltop location. Constructed with the nature and beauty of Mustique as a priority, the floor to ceiling windows and panoramic views gives Opium and its guest cottages an authentic earthy feel, whilst maintaining a constant essence of luxury. The villa boasts dramatic uses of natural wood amongst its structure and furniture, creating an African / Balinese aura with oriental influences.
The main house comprises of three spacious king sized bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and private sun decks, the Master bedroom with a grand four poster bed. The living area is large and open and leads onto the dining area, overlooking the 73 foot pool and wonderful decking areas. Surrounding the bedrooms and living area are an array of picturesque ponds, with stunning wooded walkways adjoining all rooms. A unique rooftop lounging area creates the perfect setting to watch the breath taking sunsets in style and comfort.
The first guest cottage has two queen sized bedrooms both with en-suites and private terraces, hosting private outdoor Jacuzzis for each bedroom. The living area has two terraces to both the front and rear of the property, as well as a large pool and patio area.
The second guest cottage consists of two queen sized rooms, both with en-suite shower rooms and with their own private terraces and Jacuzzis. Two further terraces at the front of and rear of the living area ensure that guests can enjoy the views from every angle.
A cinema room, games room and yoga studio are all offered to guests at your leisure. Various different dining areas with fabulous panoramic Caribbean views are the perfect hosting areas whether it be social or entertaining, there really is nothing better than watching the sun set over the turquoise waters and green luscious hills of the Caribbean.

In 1958 Lord Glenconner bought the island, despite the fact it had no roads, no jetties and no running water. Having gifted his good friend Princess Margaret a 10 acre plot in 1960 as a wedding gift, there was considerable media interest in Mustique and in 1968 Glenconner formed the Mustique Company to develop a private island hideaway specifically for the rich and famous. Plots were quickly bought by an eclectic group of socialites, rock stars and private individuals who flocked, and continue to flock, to the island to create their fantasy dream houses and to be part of something unique - the quintessential private island paradise, safe and exclusively reserved for a discerning and wealthy clientele. It is the owners of the 100 odd principal villas of the island who run all affairs.
Famously, there are no ‘rules’ on the island, no rules, no protocols or expectations. Guests can simply do as they wish – if they comport themselves sociably. Evidently the sea offers all its attractions, from lazing on pristine white beaches to scuba diving, sailing, snorkelling with the Turtles at nearby Tobago Cays, fishing and diving, whilst inland there are trails and horse riding tracks to pursue.
The tropical oasis is spread across 2.2 sq miles of land with dramatic hilltops, white sandy beaches and pristine, turquoise sea. It is one of the few places left in the world that offers total privacy and seclusion.
