This is certainly not your average ski chalet...and this is why we just love it! Perhaps the only thing that reminds you that you are in fact in a ski resort is the glimpse of the twinkling lights & snow covered roofs of the resort below – Zermatt in all her glory.

This extraordinarily designed duplex apartment is the brain child of internationally acclaimed architect, Heinz Julen, who is still a resident in Zermatt. The property is an overt representation of the quirky, alternative and in many ways utterly bonkers chap that is Heinz Julen! Constructed mainly of glass & wood, this bright and airy property boasts a birds eye view over Zermatt.

Savoyard it is certainly not. Instead it is 260 sqm of cutting edge designs including Heinz's famous Cube chairs & decorative chandeliers... often made out of recycled cutlery. The 4 bedrooms all take advantage of the splendid superior views with the ceiling to floor glass windows.

The Master bedroom on the top floor has its own free-standing circular Jacuzzi bath along with separate en-suite shower room. The remaining 3 bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms as well.

The open plan living area opens out on the terrace where, weather permitting, many evenings can be spent under the patio heater plotting the itinerary for what’s to be discovered in the vast ski area of Zermatt the next day... perhaps a trip ‘up & over’ into Italy in the resort of Cervinia?

Access to the Penthouse involves a short 2 minute walk from the top of the Omnia Hotel lifts, for which you will have a private key.

The village end of the lift delivers you to the heart of Zermatt, in the main street close to the church. So it benefits from superb location as well. This is serious sophisticated & stylish living at its best.

In Zermatt, the summers are cold, the winters are long, freezing, and snowy, and it is partly cloudy year round. There's often good natural snow cover in the ski area from early December, but the best time to ski in Zermatt is from February, when the sun is higher and the snow is deeper.
